Ingredients: 700g tart apples (e.g. Granny Smith) (about 6 medium); 180g flour (all-purpose); 130g soft butter; 5 tablespoons (50 grams) cornstarch; 50g marzipan; 3 eggs; 1/4 cup (50ml) milk; juice of 1/2 lemon; 1 tsp baking powder; 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; 1/2 teaspoon almond extract; pinch of salt; 1 tbsp Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Fantastic almond cake with apples (Apfel Marzipan Kuchen) that goes wonderfully with a coffee or as an after dinner dessert!
