Kentucky Butter CupCakes

Name: Kentucky Butter Cake
Yield: Yields 12 cupcakes
Ingredients: 1 cup salted butter, softened; 2 cups sugar; 4 large eggs; 1 tablespoon vanilla extract; 3 cups all-purpose flour; 1 teaspoon baking powder; ½ teaspoon salt (optional, I didn't add any since I used salted butter); ½ teaspoon baking soda; 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)

Delciously simple cupcakes made with buttermilk with a decadent butter sauce that is poured over the warm cake after baking.
